Exams, Philanthropy, and Parents

Last week was my exam week, so this is literally the first free time I've had to do this blog post. It's insane how much I've had going on this week. I had three exams, a paper due, a philanthropy event, and on top of that, I had to make sure to survive parent weekend.

So, after my crazy exam week (where I closed the library two nights), I had to go to my sorority's philanthropy event on Saturday. It was at 6:30 AM in Austin, meaning that I had to wake up at 4:30 AM to get ready and leave by 5:45. The actual event was nice though, we cheered on children with autism as they walked to raise money and awareness for Autism Speaks. The kids looked like they had an absolute blast! It was nice to step outside of the university and remind myself that there was a world outside of where I've been living the past month and a half.
