Now that the first round of testing is over with and the
grades are rolling in, I can say that I am quite happy with where I am right
now. I'm passing all of my classes and labs so far and even have A's or B's in
some of them. I'm relieved that the tests were actually not as hard as I feared
they would be, and now I know how all of my classes format their tests, so now
I know how to study the best for each one.
Now that I had time to actually leave my room without a
textbook or binder full of notes, my roommate and I decided to reward ourselves
for surviving the first third of the semester and bake some cookies. We got two
boxes of those Halloween sugar cookies with the ghosts and pumpkins on them and
went down to our dorm's kitchen to bake them. We baked forty eight cookies, but
by the time the cookies actually made it up to our room we only had 38 left.
They turned out great, though the first batch was just a little too brown on
the bottom and we decided to give some of the extras we had to our pod mates on
our floor and our custodian and the RAs on our floor. The sugar cookies were
delicious and with the good and okay grades I was getting back from my first
tests it was the perfect way to end September and start October.
With my good mood and the cooler weather that is slowly,
(painfully slowly I might add) coming down to us, it is just a great start to autumn
all around!
