Ferris Wheels

This weekend, I went back home. This was different from the other times I've gone back because it was the first time my best friends and I have hung out ever since we parted for college. The drive there was hilarious. I took one of my best-friends, Alex, my roommate Loriel, and our dorm friend Leon, back home.

Everything was fun and dandy until we reached the exit where Loriel, Alex and I usually exit, but Leon lived in League City so I had to keep driving. The only problem was that I had no idea how far exactly League City was until I drove all the way out there. This smart one, Leon, had us drive through downtown Houston to get to League City on I-45 North when we could have just taken 59. So we traveled an extra 3 hours because of traffic and what not.

When we finally got home, I spent the night at Alex's house which was interesting  for reasons I can't say. The next day was fair day. I literally slept until 7 o'clock, and then I met up with my other best-friends Shelby and Kelbie and went to the fair.I didn't ride a single ride, which is unusual. Instead, I talked to Kelbie, Shelby, and other friends from my high school. I also ate a whole funnel cake by myself (which I don't regret). Its crazy how much has happened between the end of senior year and now. But one thing I realized is that any friendship can be maintained if you want it to. The phone works both ways. If there's someone who you consider a friend, you don't have to text them or call them 24-7, but you should let them know how important they are to you. Make new friends, but keep the old.
